Phantom Register

Sometimes, when it comes to building a home, not everyone is working with the same set of plans. It looks like in this house, ducts were set up for a register that was never built. That means all that cold air is just blowing into the attic.

Spray Foam Party

Spray foam is a great, very efficient type of insulation when it’s deployed correctly, but unfortunately, that’s often not the case — and that was egregiously so in this case. You definitely don’t need to insulate the actual HVAC unit itself. Were they just spraying everything in sight or what?

It's Alive!

What's a sign your filter isn't catching everything? Well, definitely when there's a small farm of mold or bacteria growing outside the filter in your HVAC. WTH!?
