Things To Do In Dallas For St. Patrick's Day


There are more things to do in Dallas on St. Patrick's Day than the Greenville parade! It's not all green beer and plastic beads (not that there's anything wrong with that!) Are you craving the perfect pint alongside a tasty corned beef & cabbage feast, or perhaps it's Irish folk music and dance you'd prefer? Maybe you're just looking for something fun to do on a gorgeous spring day? Here are some of the best things to do around town for St. Patrick's Day this year:

March 16, 6 pm - 9 pm

Kick off the weekend at the Dallas Farmer’s Market, where the celebration will include games & crafts, lots of food & drink and a pipe & drum band to kick off the festivities.

March 17, 11 am - 10pm

This annual family-friendly celebration takes place at the Fort Worth Stockyards and features a parade, armadillo races (what could be more Irish?), food & beverage vendors, live music and a petting zoo.

March 17, 1 pm - 5 pm

Head out to Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm in Allen for bagpipers, traditional Irish Folk Music, facepainting and balloon animals, glitter hair styling, and Irish dancing.

March 17, 11 am - 11 pm

Dallas’ best Irish pub will provide the perfect place to eat, drink and be merry all day with Irish food, beer, bagpipers, dancers and live music, including the Tom Petty tribute band, Petty Theft, and Celtic rock band, Rathmore.

March 17, 7 pm

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad will host this Irish-themed dinner excursion on board the quaint vintage train.

March 23-25

For a weekend filled with rowdy fun, you can’t beat the Dallas Derby Devils’ annual tournament. Women’s flat track roller derby at its finest – what does this have to do with St. Patrick’s Day? Nothing, but “clover” is right there in the name, so there you go.
